Let's talk

Concierge IT for Business

It works, mostly.

Someone set it up years ago, and nobody has a plan for it. Nobody can tell you what's still supported, or what happens if that server dies.

What you might be thinking.

  • “If it isn't broken, why touch it?”

You may not need to touch much. A plan tells you what, and when.

  • “It's embarrassing how old some of this is.”

Nobody here judges what you have. Every office has something old.

  • “Replacing it all will cost a fortune.”

Most offices replace a piece at a time, in the order the dates set.

Dates worth knowing

  • Windows Server 2016 stops getting security updates on January 12, 2027.
  • Windows 10 stopped getting security updates on October 14, 2025. Computers still on it need Windows 11 or a replacement.
  • SQL Server 2016, the database many accounting and practice programs run on, stopped getting them on July 14, 2026.
  • Firewalls and Wi-Fi often run on a yearly license. When it lapses, the protection quietly stops.

The server date is close. If one sits in your office, this is the month to plan its replacement.

Three questions worth an answer

  1. What would we do if the server died tonight?
  2. What here is no longer supported, and when does the rest run out?
  3. Who holds the passwords, and are they in the firm's name?

What a plan looks like

If the server died tonight: with backups you have tested, the files come back on other equipment while a replacement is ordered. Without them, nobody can say. That is the first thing a plan finds out.

A short written list: what you have, how old it is, what ends when, and what it costs to replace, spread out so nothing arrives as a surprise. The same people who keep it running keep the list, and talk it through with you before anything comes due.

Wait, or plan

  • Run it until it is replacedFine for some things, as long as you know which ones and the backups are tested.
  • Plan around the datesReplace a piece at a time, budgeted ahead, before anything stops getting updates.

How it starts

Nothing changes until you have said yes.

  1. Thirty minutes with a real person. Tell us what is going on. You leave with an answer, whether or not it is us.
  2. A plan and a price, in writing. What we found, what we would do first, and what it costs.
  3. Then the same people take it from there. Your own small team, who know your office. One of them is the person you call.

Questions people ask

Plain answers.

Do we have to replace everything at once?

No. The plan spreads it out, and what is still good stays.

What do projects usually turn out to be?

Mostly new laptops and network equipment, replacing what is out of date. Each one is quoted before the work starts, never after.

It works. Why change anything?

You may not need to change much. The plan is what tells you, and when.

What does it cost?

$125 per person, per month, with security in every plan. New equipment and a server replacement are projects, quoted before the work starts, never after. See what it costs.
