I take care of my own lawn, and I am probably as good at it as the crews that come through the neighborhood. I like the mowing. There are weeks I wish someone else would do it, when I am traveling or buried at work, and a service would give me that. But time is not the reason I would hire one.
The bag. The part the mower does not touch is the part I was never sure about. Fertilizer, weed control, insects, fungus. Which one, when, in what order. So I buy the bag. The store points me to the aisle. Nobody checks back.
The brown patch. One summer the lawn turned brown anyway. Chinch bugs and fungus at the same time, and I did not know which. So I threw things at it. Some of it made it worse.
The rare one. Most services cut, blow, and leave. The yard is tidy, and nobody has looked at it. The other kind knows the grass, the soil, and the season. They see the bugs before the brown patch. They leave a note on the door: what we found, what we did, when we will be back. That person is rare. When you find them, you keep them.
The bag is cheap. The program is what gets you a green lawn.
The same thing in IT. Any IT company can mow: reset the password, replace the computer. And a business with a problem it does not understand throws things at it too. A new security tool, a reboot, another vendor. It is back next month.
| The bag | The program |
|---|---|
| Microsoft 365 licenses | The same people every time, who know your setup |
| A number to call when something breaks | People watching around the clock, who act |
| Office, email, Teams | Every computer kept current, the backup tested |
| You work out the rest | A plan for next season, and a plain note on what we found |
If you like the mowing, keep it. Your IT person stays the one your company calls, and we bring the program and cover the weeks they are away. That is co-managed IT, the same program at the same price.
The program is Concierge IT for Business, and what it costs is on the pricing page. If you are buying the bag today, that is a thirty-minute conversation, and we will tell you plainly whether you need it yet.
Questions people ask
Plain answers.
What is the difference between buying Microsoft 365 licenses and managed IT?
The license is the product: email, Office, Teams, file storage, and a number to call when something breaks. Managed IT is the program around it: the same people watching your sign-ins, email and computers around the clock, keeping every device current, testing a separate backup, planning next year with you, and telling you what they found in plain words.
Can we keep the parts of IT we like doing?
Yes. If someone in your company runs IT and wants to keep doing it, they stay the person your company calls, and we carry the watching around the clock, the backups, the projects, and the nights and vacations. That is co-managed IT, the same plan at the same price.
Does Protected Trust sell the licenses on their own?
Yes. The Essentials plans are Microsoft 365 with the licenses included, set up properly, with a number to call. They are the bag, and we say so. Concierge IT for Business is the program, at $125 per person, per month, plus the licenses as their own lines.
Let's talk
Thirty minutes with a real person.
Tell us what's going on with your technology, what's working and what isn't. We'll listen, ask a few questions, and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit. No slides, no pitch. If we can help, we'll say how. If we can't, we'll point you to someone who can.
Reach out, any way you like. A real person takes it from there.
