While performing the enterprise activation process on a BlackBerry® smartphone, the following error message appears:
Some databases failed to synchronize: Address book
Summary of causes:
1. The user has created a contact that contains no first name, last name or company name. (For example, a contact with only a phone number)
2. There are invalid characters, such as (), #, ?, @, !, &, %, -, ^ in the BlackBerry smartphone address book or Microsoft Outlook Contacts
Complete the appropriate resolution for your cause.
User has created a contact that contains no first name, last name or company name.
Open contacts and check for entries with blank name fields. If there is a blank name field, validate the contact by typing information into the name field.
There are invalid characters, such as () # $ @ ! & % ” – , ^ ” ;, in the smartphone Address Book or Microsoft Outlook contacts.
Check contacts for any invalid characters in the name field. If there is an invalid character, remove the character and then save the contact.
